Emergence and Complexity.

This is my first post here in this blog . But it doesn't mean that , this is the first step I have took towards studying and understanding complexity. 

Here in this blog , I will trying to capture or curate the random journey from A to B to C that I take everyday towards crystallizing an individual understanding about the subject. 

The first post is actually a lecture that I found which was given by Professor Robert Sapolsky on Emergence and Complexity. 

Here I would like to provide an acceptable definition of Emergence. 

Emergence is defined as a process through higher order properties of a system emerge through interaction of numerous constituents that are present in a given system. 

The below is the lecture given by Prof. Robert Sapolsky on Emergence and Complexity Theory. 

I will get back in the next post , where I will try to summarize the ideas put forth by him in this lecture and back it up with adequate references.
